Hey Pretty Girl, I’m Jaliyah!✈️

I’m the girl behind Pretty Girl On The Go, a North Carolina girl with a love for seeing new places, experiencing different cultures, and making memories around the world.

My love for travel didn’t start with some huge bucket-list trip. Growing up, some of my favorite memories came from family trips, especially our trips to Myrtle Beach. I’ve always loved the feeling of going somewhere different, even if it wasn’t very far from home.

But at 18, I got my first passport, and that little blue book opened up a whole new world for me.

Then I Took My First International Trip…

At 19, I traveled to Jamaica for my 20th birthday, and that trip changed how I viewed life. There was just something special about getting on a plane, landing in another country, experiencing a different culture, and realizing how much of the world was out there waiting to be explored.

I was hooked.

Since then, travel has become such a big part of my twenties. I’ve had the opportunity to study abroad, visit new countries, explore beautiful cities, try foods I’d never had before, meet new people, and create memories that I will never forget.

And somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t just love traveling, I loved talking about travel, planning trips, creating itineraries, finding things to do, and helping other people figure out their trips too.

So, Pretty Girl On The Go Was Born 💗

I created Pretty Girl On The Go for girls like me: girls who want to see the world, make memories, look cute doing it, and actually enjoy the process of planning the trip.

You don’t need an unlimited travel budget. You don’t need to quit your job and travel full-time. And you definitely don’t have to have every little detail figured out before you start exploring.

Sometimes you just need a destination, a plan, a cute outfit, and the courage to GO.

Here, I share my real travel experiences, destination inspiration, practical tips, itineraries, and travel planning resources to make planning your next adventure feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more exciting.

More Than Just Checking Countries Off a List

For me, traveling isn’t about seeing how many countries I can say I’ve visited.

It’s about the memories.

It’s laughing until your stomach hurts on a girls’ trip. Trying something you can’t pronounce on a menu. Taking way too many pictures because the view is that pretty. Getting a little lost. Learning about another culture. Coming home with stories you’ll tell over and over again.

And most importantly, it’s realizing just how much world there is beyond what you already know.

If Pretty Girl On The Go inspires even one girl to finally book the trip she’s been talking about, apply for that study abroad program, use her PTO, or simply believe that seeing the world is possible for her too, then I’ve done what I came here to do.

So grab your passport, pack your bags, and come along.

We’ve got places to go, pretty girl. ✈️💕

PLAN IT. PACK IT. GO.
